CLEARWATER - Readers responded to two online polls conducted last week on our website, www.ClearwaterGazette.com.
The first question asked if you favored or opposed the November 2 referendum question whose passage would impose an additional half-mil school tax; you responded 75% opposed, 25% in favor.
The next question asked if the Clearwater Library System should filter public Internet access in compliance with the Children's Internet Protection Act, and re-apply for Federal E-Rate funding. The total vote was 60% favoring filtering, and 40% opposed. A number of votes were cast from City-owned computers; the result with those votes excluded is 72% in favor, 28% opposed.
