Cleveland Street between Crest Lake Park and East Street will be subject to a rolling closure on Saturday evening May 7 between the hours of 7PM and 9:30PM during Clearwater's annual Fun 'n Sun Illuminated Night Parade. As the parade passes, Cleveland Street will reopen in segments. Beach bound traffic should use Drew Street, and eastbound traffic from the beach should use Chestnut Street during the closure.
Drew Street eastbound from the bridge to Osceola Avenue continues to be closed until May 9. Drew Street westbound between Osceola and the bridge will be closed on Sunday May 8 between 4PM and 9:30PM for the Fun 'n Sun fireworks display; the Memorial Causeway Bridge will be closed from 8:50PM to 9:20PM.
The intersection of Drew Street and Myrtle Avenue will be closed for six weeks beginning May 9. While the intersection is closed, westbound traffic will use Seminole Street; eastbound traffic will use Cleveland Street; northbound traffic will use Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue; and southbound traffic will use Ft. Harrison Avenue. Beach bound traffic can use Cleveland Street.
Parking on the north side of Cleveland Street has been removed between Myrtle Avenue and Osceola Avenue, forming two continuous westbound lanes of traffic through downtown to the bridge. This configuration will remain in effect until the completion of construction at Drew Street and Myrtle Avenue, about June 20. Because Cleveland Street has two westbound through lanes, Drew Street traffic must yield to Cleveland Street traffic at the bridge.
