Proceeds from the fundraiser are earmarked for The Deaf and Hearing Connection of Tampa Bay, Religious Community Services Food Bank and Sertoma Charities. The club, which is affiliated with Sertoma International, was chartered in 1967. Members meet weekly at Clearwater Country Club for a breakfast meeting and program featuring a guest speaker. They adhere to the mission statement of Sertoma International, which reads as follows: "Sertoma exists for the high purpose of SERvice TO MAnkind by communication of thoughts, ideas and concepts to accelerate human progress in health, education, freedom and democracy."
