
Since 1995, Pinellas County Commissioner John Morroni has sponsored an annual dinner to recognize the contributions that law enforcement, fire services and emergency medical services personnel make to our community. This year's dinner was on Jan. 27 at the Belleview Biltmore Resort. With 425 guests, it was the best attended one in the 12 years of its history.
These public safety representatives were honored by Commissioner Morroni for the service excellence in 2005:

The special honoree was U. S. Congressman Michael Bilirakis, who received a special career achievement award. Former Florida Governor Bob Martinez made a special appearance to recognize Congressman Bilirakis' contributions. Proceeds from the dinner went to the Boys & Girls Club of the Suncoast, Inc., which received a $16,000 donation.
