Pinellas Opera League Sings In The Spring

The organization, whose mission is to create greater interest in operatic productions and singing, is hosting a number of programs this spring to accomplish its goal. They include "Adventures in Opera", a series of talks at the Marcia P. Hoffman Performing Arts Institute at Ruth Eckerd Hall on Wednesdays from 2 to 3:30 p.m.; "Opera at Pinewood" featuring opera videos at the Gulf Coast Museum of Art, 12211 Walsingham Rd., the fourth Sunday of each month at 1 p.m. through April 23; "Opera for a Sunday Afternoon" videos at the Leepa-Ratner Museum of Art at St. Petersburg College. 600 Klosterman Rd., Tarpon Springs, the second Sunday of the month through April 9; "Opera on the Offbeat", weekly video showings on Mondays at 1:30 p.m. (call for location); and "Intro to Opera" programs for school children.
