Chapel-By-The-Sea's winter/spring series of "Non-Trivial Pursuits" continues on Monday, February 27, 7:30 to 9 p.m., with "Sunken Gardens: A Local Treasure."
The beautiful botanical gardens known as "Sunken Gardens" is truly a treasure of the Pinellas Gulf Coast. In existence for over 100 years, the site has a rich history covering three generations of the family who originally founded the attractive venue.
An experienced speaker from the gardens will share photos and history of the gardens, explain the multiple uses of the building over the years and events that took place there, and show slides of families of plants and flowers used at this living museum.
Chapel-By-The-Sea Community Church is located at 54 Bay Esplanade on Clearwater Beach. There is no charge for the program. Call 446-0430 to make reservations or for further information.
