
Pottery, porcelain, jewelry and original oils and watercolors will be for sale at the seventh annual "Home is Where the Art Is" art show, sale and auction to benefit The Haven Domestic Violence Center.
The Haven is taking reservations through March 3 for the event that features art by more than 20 prominent local artists. This year's event takes place in the Margarete Heye Great Room at Ruth Eckerd Hall on March 11, starting at 7 p.m. The evening includes a sit down dinner provided by Outback Steakhouse, live and silent auctions, opportunity to purchase various artifacts, and live entertainment from the Glenn Stevenson Jazz Quintet. The Haven provides counseling, legal advocacy, food, clothing support groups for adults and children, public awareness and professional training, as well as a 24-hour hotline and cellular phones for domestic violence survivors.
