
Nine students and three classes from Highland Christian Academy were recently honored by the Caladesi Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, Dunedin, for winning the Junior American Citizens Chapter and State Awards. The topic was “The Many Talents of An American Patriot, Benjamin Franklin.”
1st Place, Alex Zarvalas, Clearwater, 3rd grade, and 3rd Place, Angela Robinson, 7th grade, for a short story. 1st Place, Dimitri Davis, 2nd grade; Brittany Snyder, 3rd grade; Asia Pryor, 7th grade; and 3rd Place, Alexis Pereira, 8th grade, Honorable Mention, Courtney Carmichael, 5th grade, for a poem; 2nd Place, James Chulla, 7th grade, and Andrew Chen, 8th grade, for a stamp; 2nd Place, 4th grade class, 5th grade class, and 3rd Place, 7th grade class, for a banner.
