provided by the Minuteman Project

Los Angeles, CA - The Minuteman Project will lead a national caravan to drive home to the political leaders of the United States that the American people are fed up with their lack of response to the most important issues in protecting our nation's security. The caravan will begin in Los Angeles, CA, on May 3rd and end in Washington, D.C. on May 12th.

The caravan will include a stop in President Bush's hometown of Crawford, TX, on May 6th, to highlight the President's lack of leadership in this important aspect of homeland security. The caravan will roll into Washington, D.C., in what will be the largest Minuteman convoy in history and ending with a patriotic rally.

"Americans and legal immigrants across the nation have been shocked and appalled to see flags of foreign nations paraded in our streets while the rule of law is routinely ignored by our nation's political leaders," said Minuteman Project Executive Director Steve Eichler, J.D. "No other nation is as accepting of legal immigrants as ours. And no other nation would tolerate this sort of massive illegal incursion within their national borders."

"Too many on Capitol Hill have been bought and paid for with their 30 pieces of silver by special interest lobbyists who want cheap labor and illegal votes. They refuse to see the misery brought about by the massive flow of illegal drugs across the border and the abuse of illegal aliens who routinely die in the desert," stated Minuteman Project Founder Jim Gilchrist. "Our message to every member of Congress is clear: We will remember where you stood in this crucial fight to protect American sovereignty and the safety of America's citizens on Election Day!"

Rallies are being organized and protesters will be gathered in the following cities:
