provided by the City of Clearwater

CLEARWATER - The City of Clearwater announces the winners for the Neighborhood and Homes of the Quarter for Spring 2006. The Neighborhood and Home Recognition Program celebrates the uniqueness of Clearwater's many neighborhoods and its residents.

Winding Wood Village is the Spring 2006 Neighborhood of the Quarter. This award acknowledges the increased neighborhood involvement that has led to a decrease in code violations and neighborhood crime.

Nominated for their dedication and perseverance in improving their neighborhood, the residents of the Winding Wood Village will receive a Neighborhood of the Quarter sign posted at their main entrance, a certificate presented by Mayor Frank Hibbard, and a neighborhood photo mounted on a plaque. Presentations were made at the April 2 council meeting.

The home of the quarter winners are Robert Mason, 2397 Wind Gap Place; Cameron and Jacqueline McCullock, 601 Richards Ave.; Frank and Florence Jones, 1584 Farrier Dr.; and the Lathrop home at 1912 Clearview Lake Dr. Each homeowner will receive a yard sign, an award certificate, and a plaque to post permanently on their home.

Awards were presented at the April 20 council meeting.
