
CLEARWATER - Gulf Coast Care, "Adults Mentoring Children" program is seeking 100 new volunteers for Pinellas County. The program matches caring adults with children in need of additional positive attention. Many of the children are from single parent, low-income families or foster care. These children need a special friend to help guide them. Whether you want to do arts and crafts, painting, going to the park, beach, sewing, baking, or fishing and woodworking, you and your special friend can plan your time together and just have fun.
A commitment of two to four hours a week is requested of the volunteers. Orientation, training, and on going support will be provided as well as group activities. Learn how you can make a difference in the life of a child right here in Pinellas County.
