Photo/text by Carl Wagenfohr

The Clearwater Historical Society held their semi-annual fish fry on Saturday May 6 at the Ross Norton Recreation Center. The event was well-attended, with 358 supporters consuming 237 pounds of fried mullet plus grits, cole slaw and hush puppies. The net proceeds will be used to support the operations of the Historical Society, including the Plumb House Museum at 1380 S Greenwood Avenue. Pictured is Clearwater's Mayor Frank Hibbard (left) being served by CHS Board Member Chuck McPherson (right). Serving others in the background from left to right are Clearwater City Council Member Bill Jonson, Lorelei Keit and Janet Randall. Be sure to mark your calendar for the next CHS Fish Fry on November 4, 2006.
