
CLEARWATER - All ages are invited to attend Sir Author Conan Doyle's birthday celebration Monday, May 22, 2-4 p.m., at the North Greenwood Library, 905 S. Martin Luther King Jr. Ave.
Participants will discuss Doyle's achievements and watch a Sherlock Holmes movie and scenes from the silent film, "The Lost World." Popcorn, prizes and trivia will be included.
Conan Doyle was an author most noted for his stories about the detective Sherlock Holmes, which are generally considered a major innovation in the field of crime fiction. He was a prolific writer whose other works include science fiction and horror stories, historical novels, plays and romances, poetry, and non-fiction.
