All field trips are open to the public and most are free. Van trips involve sharing van rental expenses and require a reservation three days before the trip. Overnight trips involve additional costs for lodging and travel and also require reservations. In all cases, a contact is noted who can provide additional details.
When the meeting place is Tri-City Mall, assemble outside the Party City store near U.S. 19. When the meeting place is Countryside Shopping Town, assemble outside Sears near U.S. 19. Where there are no bathroom facilities at the field trip site, the trip is marked X; rest stops will be provided en route. For all trips, please bring drinking water.
Saturday, June 3 - 7 a.m.: Phillippe Park for songbirds, shorebirds, water birds and raptors. Three - four mile hike on improved surfaces, sand and grass. Meet in first parking lot on left after first right turn.
Saturday, July 22 - 7 a.m.: Brooker Creek Preserve for resident songbirds, raptors and other wildlife; easy walk on boardwalks. Meet at park.
