LARGO - During the month of June, the fused glass works of artist Lisa Vogt will be on display in the gallery exhibit cases of the Largo Public Library. Vogt has been working in glass since 1988. She uses her own sense of style drama and whimsy to combine a historic medium with innovative design, metallic shimmer and seamless color changes.
Her work has been on exhibit in major cities throughout the United States, and her 5' x 15' iron and fused glass kite series entitled Kites in Flight is installed at Tampa International Airport. She has been a guest artist on PBS and HGTV and has taught at national and regional seminars. She has published over seven glass pattern books, including Getting Fired Up!, and has written numerous articles for stained glass industry publications.
