Westra Construction crews continue working on Coronado Drive. Temporary lighting for "Sequence A" of Phase I was installed and powered by Progress Energy between Devon and Fifth streets. Verizon and its contractor have installed conduits from the Pier 60 parking lot to the intersection of Devon Street and Coronado Drive. New asphalt will be laid in the Pier 60 parking lot where that work was done.
Clearwater Gas System will relocate its 4-inch gas main from the west Coronado right-of-way to the east right-of way in the vicinity of Third Street. New sanitary sewer line is going in on the west side of Coronado in the area that will become Second Street.
Third Street is open. Traffic on Coronado Drive at Third Street is being diverted to the east right-of-way, and traffic on Coronado Drive at Fifth Street is being diverted to the west right-of-way. One lane of traffic is open in each direction, and drivers are reminded that the speed limit is 20 miles per hour. Please use caution.
