Sarasota -- Live music by Vertigo will highlight the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens’ popular Tropical Fourth of July Celebration, Tuesday evening, July 4th on the Gardens’ beautiful bayfront grounds.
Festivities start at 6:00 p.m. Children’s games will take place on the south lawn along with face painting. Prizes will be awarded for the best patriotic attire. The evening will culminate at nightfall in a spectacular community fireworks display along the bayfront.
All-American cookout fare will be available for purchase, catered by Michael’s on East. Beer, wine, soda and water will also be available for purchase. No coolers are allowed into the Gardens for this special holiday event. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets. Sponsors of the event are Budweiser and Serbin Printing.
Tickets are available for purchase at the Selby Gardens Visitor Center, 900 S. Palm Avenue, Sarasota. Tickets are $18 for adults if purchased in advance, $17 for Selby Gardens member, children 12 and under are admitted free. Tickets purchased at the door are $20.00. Tickets are non-refundable.
