CLEARWATER - It's stingray season again and the Clearwater Marina Harbormaster cautions beach visitors that the rays are back in area waters.
Swimmers are cautioned to do the "Stingray Shuffle" when entering the water. Shuffling one's feet creates a disturbance that causes stingrays to move away.
If a sting does occur, see a beach guard immediately for a hot pack treatment. For further information contact the Harbormaster's Office at (727) 462-6954.
