As Beach Walk construction continues, the Clearwater Regional Chamber of Commerce launched a new website www.billiondollarbeach.com. Information about tourism lodging developments, accommodations, attractions and frequently asked questions is available. The current temperature is included on the home page, as well as a map showing construction sites. Log on -- it's worth the visit!
In the coming week, Westra Construction plans to work on storm sewers on the east side of Coronado Drive, between Brightwater and Fifth Street. On the west side of Coronado Drive, between Devon and Third Street, they will work on storm sewers, sanitary sewers and the water main. Fifth Street should be open to traffic within a week. Clearwater Gas System is performing directional bores between Devon and Fifth Street. Franchise utilities such as Bright House, Knology, and Progress Energy will begin buried facility (conduit) installation between Devon and Third Street on the west side of Coronado soon.
