CLEARWATER - The City of Clearwater recently opened a new parking lot on South Clearwater Beach. The 25-space lot is located on the southwest corner of First Street and Hamden Avenue and includes one handicap space. A 5-hour parking limit is in place and parking rates are 1.00/hr Monday - Friday and $1.25/hr on weekends and everyday during March and April. Meters are enforced from 6 a.m.-10 p.m. everyday and no parking is allowed between 10 p.m. - 6 a.m. For more information, contact Clearwater's Parking Department at (727) 562-4704.
