Westra Construction crews continue their work on Coronado Drive. They have added another crew and are working on weekends to make up for time lost due to unanticipated conflicts. Traffic will move against the east right-of-way on Monday. As a result, Fifth Street will be open between Coronado and Hamden. Fifth Street will remain open at Gulfview Blvd., but will be closed at the west side of Coronado, so there will be no through traffic from the west.
Storm, water main, and franchise utility sewer work will continue on the west side of the road. Public and private utilities such as Bright House, Knology and Progress Energy are installing buried conduit between First Street and Third Street and are continuing south through the Fifth Street intersection. You may see survey crews south of Fifth Street; they will define the right-of-way there. Traffic is moving over to the east side of Coronado Drive.
