Hobnob with Candidates at Politics in the Park

Don't miss the opportunity to meet candidates before September's primary in the relaxed atmosphere of a good old-fashioned picnic with a carnival feel on Tuesday, August 22, at the "Politics In The Park" hobnob at Coachman Park, 301 Drew St., downtown Clearwater from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

There will be food, fun and politicking by numerous candidates running in this season's elections. This is a prime opportunity to meet those seeking to hold public office, as well as current officeholders, prior to the primaries on September 5.

"Politics in the Park" is presented as an educational program, presented by the Clearwater Regional Chamber of Commerce, City of Clearwater Parks and Recreation Department and CLEARPAC - the Chamber's political affiliate. Non-refundable, pre-paid tickets are available for $12 for adults ($15 day of the event) and $5 for children under 14. The price includes food and drinks.

Each candidate will be introduced and will spend the evening shaking plenty of hands, discussing issues and handing out campaign literature. Candidate literature tables also are a great value at $55 and may be reserved by calling the Chamber. Candidates will want many supporters present as the highlight of "Politics In The Park" is the straw ballot for all contested races - winners will be announced that evening.
