School Gets Under Way At North Ward

Kelly Meehan and her daughter, Marissa-Ann, at left, join Kelly Giovannetti and her son, Caelan, for a photo on the first day of school on August 8 at North Ward Elementary School in Clearwater. Both youngsters are in kindergarten and seemed happy to be there. Some of their schoolmates were shedding tears over leaving their parents that day. Parents were treated to a "Boo-Hoo Breakfast" in the Media Center after seeing children to their rooms.

Webb, who has been teaching for four years, is new to North Ward. She was previously assigned to Fuguitt Elementary in Largo.
