Early Voting and Absentee Ballots Provide Convenience for Voters

Absentee ballots and early voting offer convenient alternatives to voting at the polls, making it easier than ever to participate in the democratic process. Florida law allows any registered voter to vote early or to vote by absentee ballot.

"Sometimes it's difficult to get to your polling place on Election Day - whether you're working, traveling or just very busy," said Pinellas County Supervisor of Elections Deborah Clark. "Early voting and absentee ballots can make casting a ballot more convenient for voters. And, we've expanded some of our previous early voting sites and added new locations to make it even more accessible for Pinellas County citizens."

Early voting begins 15 days prior to each election in all Supervisor of Elections offices and eight other locations throughout the county. For the September 5th Primary Election, early voting is August 21 - September 2. Early voting hours are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. and Saturdays, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Citizens should bring photo and signature ID to avoid delays and extra paperwork.
