CLEARWATER - Access Pinellas will broadcast a Judicial Candidates Forum which took place on August 10. The forum features candidates in contested elections for 6th Circuit and Pinellas and Pasco County judgeships. The event was sponsored by the Clearwater Bar Association and the Pinellas League of Women Voters.
Broadcasts of the one-hour forum are scheduled for every Friday at 8 p.m., every Sunday at 11 p.m., and every Monday at noon, between now and the Sept. 5 election. Access Pinellas can be viewed on Bright House Channel 96 and Knology Channel 21.
According to Jewel White Cole, Clearwater Bar President, "The candidates were invited to make a brief presentation to assist members of the Bar, the League and the public, in making an informed decision at the polls on Sept. 5. Judicial candidates must refrain from the usual politics; and, therefore, it is often difficult for voters to obtain information on the candidates. The forum provides voters and opportunity to learn more about the candidates.
