George H. Brown for County Court Judge

George H. Brown, a local attorney and former police officer has made the official announcement that he is running for Country Court Judge Group 16.

Brown is a capable and qualified candidate for this position. He is currently an attorney and is associated with Abrahamson & Ulterwyk in Clearwater, where he has handled claims involving insurance and liability matters. His work includes assisting clients in civil matters, including consultation and preparation of cases for litigation.

He has 18 years of experience as a practicing attorney in the area. He has handled depositions, hearings, trials, appeals and client files relating to automobile and insurance law, contracts, releases, government law and negligence claims. He has drafted complex pleadings and prepared cases for trial. He is very qualified as a candidate for judge of the County Court.

Brown is a certified Circuit Court mediator. He is a member of the St. Petersburg Bar Association and the Clearwater Bar Association and is licensed to practice law in all Florida Courts, the Federal Middle Courts, the Federal 11 Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court. He holds a Juris Doctor Degree from Stetson University, from where he graduated in 1988.

Brown is a former officer of the Ocala Police Department. There, his work included work as a traffic homicide investigator, field-training officer and SWAT team member. In 1984, he attended the institute of Police Technology and Management in Jacksonville, where he received his certification in Advanced Traffic Accident Investigation and his certification in At Scene Traffic Homicide Investigation and Traffic Accident Reconstruction.

He was certified at the Florida Institute of Criminal Justice in Ocala in Police Standards and training. At Florida International University in Miami, he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice in 1978.

Brown is very active in community service. He is active in the Community Law Program. He has served as a relief attorney for the St. Petersburg Bar Disaster Attorney program. He has served on the St. Petersburg Bar Technology Committee. He has worked in the community with Suncoast Tiger Bay Club and the Breakfast Optimist Club.

From my point of view, George H. Brown's background and experience is phenomenal. He has a proven history of knowledge of law enforcement and the law as an attorney. His record is one of success. He is educated, qualified and has shown many years of dedication to law enforcement and the practice of law in Florida.
