CLEARWATER - The 4th Annual "Fashions with Flair" Fundraiser, a benefit for the children of Tampa Bay on September 16, from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m, at the Belleair Country Club, is honored to have all-star roster of the area's finest women as models.
Notable for their leadership roles in the community and the stellar example they set in their diligent work on behalf of the children in the Tampa Bay area, the 2006 "Fashions with Flair" models include Cat Coats (wife of Pinellas County Sheriff), Linda Greco (wife of former Tampa Mayor Dick Greco), Yolanda Kennedy (wife of Rev. Kennedy of the Glorious Church of God in Christ), Lisa Mansell (Downtown Community Affairs Director for the Church of Scientology), Margaret Word Burnside (Publisher of Tampa Bay Magazine), Key Dillinger (wife of Pinellas County Public Defender), Pat Brady (wife of Lt. Joe Brady, formerly of the Pinellas County Sheriff's Department) and other "leading ladies" in the Tampa Bay area.
More than $50,000 in proceeds from the last three fashion shows has benefited charities including the Boys & Girls Club, Homeless Emergency Project, the Red Cross, victims of Hurricane Katrina and Winter Wonderland. This year, organizers hope to double last year's total of $25,000, to do even more for the children and community with proceeds from this year's event benefiting the Homeless Emergency Project, the Kennedy Community Center of Tampa and the Winter Wonderland event in downtown Clearwater.
At this year's "Fashions with Flair," an anticipated 400-plus audience will enjoy a silent auction, great food, entertainment, and - of course- the fashion show featuring local celebrity models, with fashions from Rose Garden of Dunedin, Nicole's of Belleair Bluffs and Ambrias of St. Petersburg.
