
LARGO - Discover the joy of creating art under the open sky and pine trees at Heritage Village, Pinellas County's 21-acre living history museum. Artist Robin E. Popp leads participants through a six-week series with the museum's historic buildings and native landscape as your studio. Popp will demonstrate primarily with oils, but participants are welcome to use any medium they prefer. If working with oils, please call for a list of recommended supplies.
10 a.m. to 2 p.m. - Thursdays: Sept. 14 & 28, Oct. 12 & 26, and Nov. 9 & 30
Program fee per class: $20 Pinellas County Historical Society members, $24 non-members OR program series fee (all six classes): $90 Pinellas County Historical Society members, $114 non-members.
Florida native Robin's most recent works include the Memorial Causeway Bridge commemorative poster for the city of Clearwater. Popp uses techniques of the old masters, yet approaches her subjects with a freshness that makes her work unique. She is known for "The Crow Series," begun in 2003, and is represented by the Painted Fish Gallery. She is a member of the Professional Association of Visual Arts, Plein Air Florida, and serves on the board of the Clearwater Arts Foundation.
