The official grand opening ceremony for the state-of-the-art facility for children with and without disabilities took place on August 25. It replaces the previous Sunshine Playground, which was constructed over 15 years ago. A limitless playground is one which requires that at least 70 percent of its activities be designed so that persons with physical disabilities can utilize them without having to leave their support equipment behind. Wide sidewalks make the playground wheelchair accessible. The Long Center is located at 1501 N. Belcher Rd. in Clearwater. For more information on the new playground, call 793-2320.
