CLEARWATER, FL – The Belleview Biltmore Resort, Golf Club, Beach Club, and Spa is planning to raise money to “Support Out Troops” at the resort’s monthly First Friday complimentary wine and cheese on October 6, 2006.
The Belleview Biltmore is now working to build on the success of previous First Friday events by inviting Marlene Clausen and the Indian Shores Women’s Club to “Support Our Troops” at October’s complimentary wine tasting. The group collects items such as food, toiletries, and other goods for shipment to Iraq. October’s First Friday wine tasting will be on October 6th from 5-7pm at the Belleview Biltmore and donations will be accepted at the door to “Support Our Troops”. All donations collected will go towards the hefty fee of shipping these items to our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. The response for this program has been very positive, there will be several items on display at First Friday that the troops have sent back as a thank you to past shipments they have received.
First Friday’s is a complimentary wine tasting. It is held on the first Friday of every month from 5pm-7pm. Usually the tasting is in the Tiffany Ballroom, the resorts most elegant meeting space. For the last six months the resort has been inviting local charities to the wine tasting to raise money and help spread the word about their organization.
