"The Taste of Palm Harbor is on Fire!"

PALM HARBOR - The GFWC Palm Harbor Junior Women's Club and the Palm Harbor Fire Rescue Department have joined forces in honor of their anniversaries of service to the community.

The Palm Harbor Fire and Rescue celebrates 50 years of service, while the Palm Harbor Women's Club observes their 10th anniversary of their signature charity event, the Taste of Palm Harbor.

On Sunday, October 1, from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m., the area's largest free event is to be held in historic downtown Palm Harbor. Over 20 area restaurants will compete for the bragging rights as the best of the best in the area, with local fire and rescue officers and area dignitaries as the tasting judges. The event will also feature 20 antique fire trucks, extrication team and Bayflight demos, huge children's area with games, rides and bungee jumping, FD station tours, 50 artisans and craft vendors, Sparky the Fire Dog, Florida blood bank drive, entertainment by community groups and area school bands and dance teams performing throughout the day.
