Introduction to Using Sign Language with Your Baby at Main and East Libraries

CLEARWATER - Babies, pre-verbal toddlers and caregivers are welcome to attend sign language classes, 11-11:30 a.m., at the Main Library, 100 N. Osceola Ave., Oct. 2, 9, 16 and 23, and East Library, 2251 Drew St., Oct. 26, Nov. 2, 9, and 16.

Babies use signs as a natural communication tool. Using sign language enriches child-parent bonds, accelerates verbal language and social emotional development and averts temper tantrums. Studies confirm that babies who sign learn to speak sooner than those who don't.
