CLEARWATER - Clearwater residents and business owners, Paul F. Gibson, Kenneth G. Humphreys, and Charles T. Orsatti, have formally filed an appointment of Campaign Treasurer. The filing establishes their candidacy for the three open seats in the March 2007 City Council Elections.
The candidates will run on a platform having three very specific citywide goals.
First, they are highly unified in their belief and commitment to bringing responsible spending practices to the City Management and Council. Second, by running successfully they will represent a majority on the City Council who understand and will vote in a fiscally responsible manner on behalf of all City taxpayers. Third, they believe that the City suffers from the absence of an effective strategic plan to bring tax relief to the residents and business owners within the community and will work to establish such a plan.
The candidates will work for all the citizens of Clearwater to make the City a better place to raise children, operate a business, invest and retire. Candidates for Responsible Spending believe proper fiscal management is the essential first step toward achieving this goal.
