IEYC Holds Greek Event

The Island Estates Yacht Club held "An Evening in Ancient Greece" party on Saturday, October 14th at the waterfront home of Fay and Nick Nicholson in Tarpon Springs. Forty-six members and guest feasted on a catered dinner of mousaka, pastitso, Greek salad, baklava, and Greek rice pudding from Mama Mia's Authentic Greek Cuisine.

Most attendees were dressed in Greek togas or other appropriate attire. The Greek Goddess Award for the best dressed female went to Joyce Smith. Joel Briskman was the winner on the male side of the costume competition. Tom Fazzina was proud to take home the Sexiest Male Sandaled Feet Award.

The Greek Event committee members were Fay and Nicholson, Patricia and Jim Ostrosky, Bob and Eileen Gunther, Lauralee and Gary Bernard, Linda and John Garrity, Dianne and Chuck Stebbins, Marilynn Hall, Joyce and Tom Smith, and Bill Blum. The Jolley Trolley served as the safe chariot transporting party-goers to and from Tarpon Springs.

The next Island Estates Yacht Club event will be the Annual Meeting and Awards Night on November 3rd.
