Rotary Club of Largo to Host Death by Chocolate Fundraiser Event

LARGO - Each year the Rotary Club of Largo partners with the area's premier restaurants, businesses and confectioners to showcase bite size samples of their chocolate desserts and candies for visitors at the Largo Cultural Center.

The Rotary Club of Largo's 11th Annual Death by Chocolate fundraiser will be held Friday, December 8, from 7 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. inside the Largo Cultural Center located on Central Park Drive in Largo, adjacent to Largo Central Park. Chocolate lovers enjoy decadent chocolate delights, local entertainment inside, complimentary champagne and wine and an outstanding silent auction. Visitors can stroll through Largo Central Park which will be lit with over 250,000 lights and great live entertainment.

This year's featured Chocolatiers include Chef Erwin and E & E Stakeout, The Peppermill, Lee Roy Selmons, O'Keefe's, Ruby Tuesday's Sun Coast Hospital, The Heron House, Village Inn, Celebration Cakes, Chocolate Fountain Memories and many more.

The exceptional silent auction, just in time for the gift-giving season, will feature a Ladies Tagheuer watch donated by The Watch Studio vauled at $1095., exclusive golf packages, gourmet food and wine baskets, gift certificates for spa services and jewelry, and private wine tasting parties for 16 people.

Since 1995, this event has attracted thousands of chocolate lovers from all over the Tampa Bay Area and has raised more than $200,000 to support Largo youth organizations, scholarships and other programs sponsored by the Rotary Club of Largo. These funds are used to support multiple youth and community programs. The Rotary Club of Largo is an all volunteer organization and has no paid staff.

Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 the night of the event. They can be purchased through Largo Rotary members; at the box office at Largo Cultural Center; Regal Palms at The Palms of Largo, 300 Lake Avenue NE; and Main Street Chiropractic, 422 West Bay Drive.
