The Rotary Club of Belleair Bluffs is sponsoring a FREE Blood Sugar Screening for Diabetes on Sunday, November 5, from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. during the Antiques Alley annual outdoor sale, Indian Rocks Rd N., Belleair Bluffs.
A nurse from the St. Petersburg Free Clinic will conduct the screening in a tent in front of Victoria's Parlor. Appointments are not necessary and you don't have to fast before the test. Come and learn about risk factors. Diabetes can be controlled.
The Rotary Club sponsored the Diabetic Wellness Program for the Free clinic by purchasing blood sugar test strips for the working poor, who do not have the funds to purchase medical care, yet don't qualify for government programs. This community event is one of the many ways Rotary helps serve the community.
