CLEARWATER - Meet Barbara Sorey, author of Know Where You Going? You Gotta Know Where You Been! Tuesday, Nov. 7, 6 p. m., at Main Library, 100 N. Osceola Ave. for a book sale and signing.
Know Where You Going? is Sorey's personal story about searching for a connection to her family's beginnings. She covers the early years of her parents' lives together, and her life as a young child growing up in segregated Clearwater. It's the story of an African American family experience as told and seen through a child's eyes from the early 1920's through the 1960's.
Clearwater is home to Sorey. She graduated from Clearwater High School and attended St. Petersburg College and University of South Florida.
