
Saturday, November 18 - Free Journal of Light - A photographer's Search for the Soul of Florida program from 1 p.m. until 2:30 p.m., adults can experience the wonder of Florida captured by talented John Moran, a Florida nature photographer. Moran will narrate a slide show of his remarkable 20-year collection as part of the Florida Humanities Council Road Scholars Program.
Saturday, November 25 - Free Talking Turkey program from 1 p.m. until 2:30 p.m., families with children 5 years and older will discover Florida's fascinatingly complex creatures, the wild turkey. Participants will learn how wild turkeys communicate and raise their young. Children might even get a chance to practice walking and talking like a turkey. Wednesday, November 29 - Free Brooker Basics: Upland Ecology presentation from 6:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Adults and children over 12 years old can hear about the preserve's upland ecosystems including pine flatwoods, xeric, oak hammocks and sandhills. A companion field session for this event is scheduled for Sunday, December 3.
