To mark Veterans Day in Seminole, American Legion Post 252, 11433 Park Blvd., will be celebrating with an honor guard ceremony starting at noon with refreshments to be served afterwards. All Veterans are invited to attend the ceremony.
The American Legion is the nation's largest wartime veteran's organization. Founded in 1919, the delegates to the first National Convention in Minneapolis broke from business sessions to parade down a main street in a heavy snowstorm at 11 a.m., Nov. 11, to mark the anniversary of the armistice.
