Spotlight on Pets Festival and Adoptathon

ST. PETERSBURG - Stop Pet Overpopulation Together (SPOT) is teaming up with the City of St. Petersburg Recreation Department to have an Adoptathon Saturday, December 2, from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the Azalea Recreation Center, 1600-72nd Street North, St. Petersburg. The Adoptathon will promote life time homes for rescued pets and bring awareness about the importance of spay/neuter. This will be an outdoor event under huge oak trees in a beautiful park setting, and fun for the whole family.

Activities will include agility, raffles, photos with Santa, arts and crafts, a magician, face painting, nail trimming, and micro chipping, along with plenty of animals from over 20 pure bred rescues and 5 shelters.

This event will also be the final stop of "Have your Pet SPOTlighted!" pet photo contest. A celebrity panel will be judging the top (12) finalists for the Pet Photo Contest and presented the top winners with over $1800 in prizes.

Vendors tables are available for $20 before October 31, or $30 after. For more information visit www.Spot.usa.org or call 727-545-3463.
