The festivities are open to the entire community. Four-legged family members are welcome to attend with their humans, but must be licensed and on a leash or in a carrier.
Event highlights include free pet photos with Mrs. Santa Paws; animal obedience and performance demonstrations; appearances by Southeast Guide dogs; a petting zoo and a vendors area with plenty of toys and treats for pets.
Pick up the new 2007 Animal Services Calendar, which is filled with heartwarming photos of people and pets and lots of helpful pet tips. They're free from Pinellas County Animal Services.
Drawings for prizes such as attraction tickets, pet items and dinners at area restaurants will take place throughout the day. There will be free hot dogs and soft drinks, and Animal Services will offer reduced price adoptions and $1 rabies vaccinations with license purchases.
Adoption gift certificates can be the perfect present for those you know who want to open their hearts and homes to a new pet. All of the adoptable cats, dogs, kittens and puppies at Animal Services want nothing more than a permanent, loving home.
