The fourth annual "Martinis and Matisse . . . An Art Lottery" event to benefit the Clearwater Free Clinic is planned for Saturday, January 20, from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m., at the Clearwater Main Public Library, located in downtown Clearwater.
Honorary chairs for the fundraiser this year will be Margaret Word-Burnside and Aaron Fodiman of Tampa Bay Magazine. The event will feature over 8 artists who have donated works in various media that will be awarded in a unique "lottery style" manner. Artists who are interested in participating are asked to call the Clearwater Free Clinic for more information.
Funds raised during the event will benefit programs of the Clearwater Free Clinic, a non-profit, non-governmental medical facility that provides free medical care to low income uninsured residents of upper Pinellas County.
In addition to various works of art, patrons who attend will sample various kinds of martinis from Bonefish Grill and a bountiful buffet from seven of the Tampa Bay area's finest restaurants.
Sponsorship opportunities are still available and can be coordinated by calling Clearwater Free Clinic Executive Director Jeannie Shapiro at 447-3041.
