St. Petersburg Museum of History Co-Sponsors Aero Art Celebration

Aero ART '007 is a rare celebration of the arts in aviation and space. The art exhibition is being conducted by the Florida Bauhaus Company and is sponsored by the Florida Aviation Historical Society, the Florida Aviation Hall of Fame and the St. Petersburg Museum of History. Aero ART '007 exhibit opens to the public Saturday, January 20, and ends on Wednesday, February 28, at the Museum, located on the approach to the Pier.

Florida Bauhaus will feature artworks from all mediums from artists, gallery owners, and collectors. These works will have an aviation or aerospace theme. This is the first of eight planned annual exhibitions up to Aero ART 2014, the one hundredth anniversary of the first airline passenger service which took place in Tampa Bay on January 1, 1914. The Museum of History displays the full-scale replica of the Benoist Airplane which made this historic flight.

A VIP Grand Opening party will be held on Friday, January 19, from 6:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. Members are free and guests pay only $5 per person. RSVP's are strongly suggested. Food and beverages are included in the price of admission.
