
PINELLAS COUNTY - Canines and humans alike will be dressed to the nines to benefit more than 15,000 homeless pets. The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) Tampa Bay presents the canine social of the year, Kibbles 'n Bids Mutt Extravaganza and Silent Auction Fundraiser on January 12th at the Sirata Beach Resort from 7 to 10 p.m.
The upscale private party for 350 humans and their four-legged friends will feature a variety of "pooch pampering." The Very Important Canine (VIC) Area will include canine massages, pet-icures, doggie lounge and a bark-tender to serve bottled water and more. Guests can take advantage of complimentary professional pet photos and pet psychic readings by Janet Sciales, the Star Goodness.
The "Putting on the Dog Pageant" encourages pet owners to dress up 'Fido' and compete for prizes. Humans can snack on heavy hors d'oeuvres while Rover can "sit pretty" for complimentary treats. Roving photographs known as the "Pup"arazzi will snap candid photos.
