The Island Estates Yacht Club held their annual New Year's Day Brunch at the water-front home of Marcia and Ralph Coxhead on January 1st. Fifty-three members and guests attended and were treated to spirited refreshments, a catered entrée and a variety of delicious offerings prepared by committee members.
The event marks the beginning of Commodore Tom Smith's watch and it is also a volunteer signup time for 2007 events. A full slate of activities is in the pipeline and the next scheduled event will be a day at Tampa Bay Downs Race Track on January 27th.
The New Year's Day Brunch was chaired by Past Commodore Tom Fazzina with an enthusiastic support committee consisting of Peggy Gibson, Jeannette and Ed Ziegler, Mason Rascher, Sue Speck, OJ Millington, Hilda Trew, Marion McCaslin, Tom and Joyce Smith, Jan Nagy, Bob Landreth, and Lee Tetreault.
