The Bay Area Electric Boaters, represented by George Spencer, Bob Allison, and Don Igel, (pictured above l-r with Linda Magee) delivered presents to the children at Sabal Palms in Largo recently. Linda Magee, staff member of the Children's Center at Sabal Palms received a big-screen television for the pediatric patients in the ward. The facility provides care for severely handicapped children. Bay Area Electric Boaters is a club formed by model boat builders, who meet every third Thursday at the City of Largo Community Center. They offer boat-building classes at the community center. For more information, call (727) 518-3132. On the second and fourth Sundays every month, they run their radio-controlled model boats at Lake Seminole Park from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. The sailing events are open to the public.
