
CLEARWATER, Fla. - The City of Clearwater will hold a community meeting to discuss the proposed downtown boat slip project on Wednesday, Jan. 17 from 6-8 p.m. at the Harborview Center in downtown Clearwater. City staff and consultants will present renderings and animations of the project, market study, financial feasibility and rate studies, project details, and answer questions related to the boat slip project.

Construction of the proposed boat slips will cost $11 million. A 20-year bond, paid back with revenues from slip rentals will pay the majority of the construction costs. Potential grants and contributions from the Downtown Development Board and the Community Redevelopment Agency will fund the remaining construction costs.
