LARGO - Linda Brown, a self-described "old lady in her late sixties," traveled around the world for 10.5 months, backpacking and staying in hostels. She will present her program "Around the World with a Backpack as a Solo Senior" on Tuesday, January 23, from 1-3 p.m. in Room B of the John & Rosalie Jenkins Community Wing of the Largo Public Library.
Linda Brown, our backpack traveler, started out by leading group trips to the Soviet Union when it first opened in 1990, before communism fell. She has traveled alone and led groups all over the USSR-Russia, Ukraine, Moldova, Siberia, as well as every country in Eastern Europe, Central America, and now around the world.
