Free Plumb House Museum Tours Still Available

CLEARWATER - The Clearwater Historical Society has announced the continuation of free tours for the historic Plumb House Museum located at 1380 Martin Luther King Avenue, Clearwater.

Tours will be available from 8:30 a. m. until 11:30 a.m. on the first and third Thursdays, and from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. every Saturday during the month of February.

The historic Plumb House Museum, birthplace of Clearwater's first public school teacher for whom Plumb Elementary School is named, is an original cracker-style house built in 1896. The museum houses period furnishings, vintage photographic collections, artifacts and many documents of historical significance, including yearbooks from Clearwater High School.
