Clearwater Marine Aquarium volunteer Diane Weiner feeds Cooper, a North American river otter, on a recent Saturday morning. Cooper and three other otters--Garth, Webster and Maya--are permanent residents of the facility, which is dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of marine animals. Since 1995, over 20 sick and injured wild river otters have received rehabilitative care there. Some were released back into the wild, while others were relocated to other facilities within the United States.
